The Shadow and Bone trilogy focuses on Alina Starkov-our heroic Sun Summoner-and her fight against the villainous Darkling. Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone spawned a zealous fandom, and it’s easy to see why. The fantasy is based on Leigh Bardugo’s book of the same name, as well as the numerous other sequels and spin-offs that make up the lauded Grishaverse tales. If you’ve only just taken your first step into the Grishaverse with Netflix’s new YA series Shadow and Bone, you’re in luck: There’s plenty more where that came from. ![]() |
